10 disasters America will face if Obama gets a second term

In today’s Washington Post, I argue that while electing a transformational conservative president may not be in the cards this November, stopping a transformational liberal president still is. The damage of a second Obama term could be potentially irrevocable. I asked a number of conservative thinkers what they feared most from a second term, and compiled this list of the top ten disasters that would befall America if Obama were re-elected this fall:

1.    Obamacare will not be repealed.

2.    The unprecedented levels of spending in Obama’s first four years will become the new floor, as America sets new records for fiscal profligacy and debt.

3.    Job creators will face massive tax increases, and more Americans will come off the tax rolls—resulting in fewer citizens with a stake in keeping taxes low and more with a stake in protecting benefits.

4.    Government dependency, already at record levels, will continue to grow.

5.    Four lost years in dealing with the entitlement crisis will become eight—digging us into a hole from which we may not be able to emerge.

6.    Obama, unworried about the impact of gas and electricity prices on his reelection, will finally wage the regulatory war on fossil fuels the Left demands.

7.    He will unleash the Environmental Protection Agency to impose crushing new burdens on U.S. business.

8.    His administration’s assault on religious freedom will go on and expand to new areas.

9.    The Defense Department will be gutted, with cuts so deep that America will no longer be a superpower.

10.    Obama could have the opportunity to appoint more liberal Supreme Court justices, ending the Roberts court in all but name for a generation.

This is, of course, not a complete list—not by a long shot. I’d be interested what readers and my fellow AEI scholars think: What’s missing from this litany of impending disasters?

  1. Note to Megs,

“How was the recession of the late 70′s different than the sub-prime mortgage crash of 2008?”

The main difference was the 70′s one was caused by a Democratic Administration and the sub-prime mortgage crash was caused by a Democratic congress.

As someone who voted straight Democrat until I was 56, I watched first hand as a real estate appraiser, how Democrats so interfered in the real estate area of our economy that it imploded as it did. No you say?

Time for, as we say in the appraisal field, some independently verifiable facts that are a matter of the public record. Let’s call this an honesty test. Will you let the facts speak for themselves or will you conveniently revert to selective logic in order to continue placing blame where after learning the facts you must continue to maintain it’s the fault of rednecks.

“Burning Down The House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?”

Use your pause button, it goes fast. Good luck getting honest!

    • Lies? I’ve never voted Democrat, but I certainly will this time with the weak, pitiful GOP candidates put forth today. I’d like to believe in a Republican savior president that will pull us out of this, and if there were better choices, I just might.

While I’ve never been a fan of Congress…Republican or Democrat, to say the Democratic Congress was responsible for the sub-prime mortgage crash is to reiterate the twisted truths as told from the talking heads. Freddie and Fannie could not create the housing collapse all by themselves…you do know the same thing happened in Europe, where there was no U.S. congress at all? The push–Ok’d by Bush’s federal reserve, you can’t deny Bush was at the helm and was requested to reign in the Fed’s permissible behavior towards wall street’s bundling of questionable securities, and in which Bush made the fatal decision to not to do it–the powerful push for “innovation in financial products” led to the housing collapse…brokers were given the OK to basically do, in the end, what turned out to be ponze schemes. I’ll admit the housing decline was helped by the democrats, who promoted, Freddi and Fannie with good albeit ignorant intentions–wanting lower middle class to purchase houses. But the way the talking heads put it, Freddie and Frannie were responsible for the whole collapse…That’s hogwash! The Republicans, and the rest of the western world, wanted the “innovative financial products,” and they still want them…and maybe this time they’ll get them right, since the federal reserve actually has the man-power to monitor these things…but the Republicans and Democrats, and specifically Bush at the helm allowed these products to fail us miserably the first time around. Looking at the sub-prime mortgage crash in hindsight, Greenspan placed far more blame on Wall Street for bundling subprime mortgages into securities than he blamed it on Frannie and Freddie.

To say that Democratic Congress during a few years of Bush’s eight is responsible for sub-prime mortgage crash is a half-truth. Bush is the one who got rid of key positions at the federal reserve (less research available to find out just how these “innovative financial products might” from play out)…the streamlined government I was talking about. And Bush allowed the surplus monies available during his administration to disappear with his insistence on extended tax breaks….not the fiscal conservative we could have hoped for…neither are these GOP candidates.

      From Wikipedia,
“The One Hundred Tenth United States Congress was the meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, between January 3, 2007, and January 3, 2009, during the last two years of the second term of President George W. Bush. It was composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The apportionment of seats in the House was based on the 2000 U.S. census.
The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. Although the Democrats held fewer than 50 Senate seats, they had an operational majority because the two independent senators caucused with the Democrats for organizational purposes.”

So my point, not lies, is Bush held the presidency for eight years, and during that time Bush ignored requests to reign in wall street securities bundles…requested from some in the financial community, and well as from some in Congress (whether they were Republican or Democrat, I can’t remember, but probably Democrat because Republicans are so a mono-culture, they’d hardly oppose the wishes of their incumbent president). He deferred it to his Bush appointed federal reserve crew…as small as he had made them…who in turn had the belief, no, don’t regulate it, it will work itself.

Call all of this lies if you want. The truth hurts to a lot of you on here. Perhaps because you feel like your party can’t possibly be responsible for what is going on in this country. What a sad state of affairs. Your party is important, but its people like you who weaken it when you stick your head in the sand and won’t see what’s blatant to the majority in America and beyond. The Republican party needs to take some responsibility for their actions and move on. Heck, even when we all had to vote for W. Bush, we were disappointed, but new we didn’t want the “other guy” in. After that experience, I’ll never vote that way again. Moving on would include making this country great again by having the Republican party not vying for re-election by being the party of “no” and extreme criticism, but by showing their cards…How are they going to compete with China? How are they going to lead this country into healing with this polarized 50/50 split? The Native Americans were conquered by dividing and conquering…we’ll be beat by Asia the same way. Division=nothing accomplished. Nothing.

      • Pleeese….Do you really believe that we buy into your statement that you’ve “never voted Democrat” ? Your little progressive rant has exposed you dear…we’re just not that STUPID..LOL

        • First you criticize for not giving the facts, then you pick on one thing and try to discredit everything else. Besides, who cares if she ever voted Democratic? Are you making a list?

      • People always blame Bush,Bush had no power he was nothing but a puppet with Cheney,Rumsfield and the Republican big business pulling his strings.read his Wikipedia page to see what he screwed up

  2. Where is the Republican candidates plan for stemming the havoc that social security and medicare/medicaid spending is going to create in our U.S. economy? What is their plan to compete with Asia? What is there plan to handle Iran? How is their healthcare plan different that Obamacare? How are any of their plans significantly different from the current adminstration?

And don’t answer, “I don’t know.” It’s ridiculous that we don’t know or care. It really is.

  3. I forgot to add that I bought it in the USA , they operate from Arizona and i got my delivery in 2 days at no extra cost and saved taxes. Best of all they have live support number where you do not need to hold forever to get someone to talk to you.

  4. It’s sickening how some people will keep drinking obama’s poison. They have the democrat word branded in their mind which came from their father and his father and his father. Some just don’t realize why stupidity reins in their family. IDIOTS

    • Brian – If you are that obtuse to pose such a question given where Obama has taken our country in the last four years, it is doubtful you would grasp the facts if they were to bite you in the leg.

But in the hopes one fact may help; here it is relative to Mr. Thiessen’s point number 8. In two states, Illinois and Massachusetts, Catholic Charities have closed their adoption services because Obama’s Justice Dept and HHS is forcing the Catholic Church to allow homosexual couples to adopt babies. Now tell me, Brian, is that not a fact based in reality?

      • Thanks for that, George. Another reality-based fact you might want to consider is that Catholics, and many conservatives, are of course not at all obsessed with sex.

      • No, it’s not a fact based in reality. There is no assault on religious freedom. There is a balancing of religious freedom and universal human rights. Catholic charities remain 100% FREE to decide whether to offer adoption services, something that is clearly NOT a core element of the religion. If they decide to do so, however, they must not discriminate against homosexuals. In no way does this impair their freedom to practice the Catholic religion. They can still do as many rosaries, pray, take communion, take confessions, and all the other stuff without ANY restriction whatsoever.

    • You’re right Obama will probably be written in the history books as the greatest president ever. Of course that’s only because the government will write, edit, and publish them themselves. Censorship is only one more term away.

  5. It’s so funny to see people talk about our president as if he actually makes all the decisions. To see people vote democrat or republican just because they are labeled democrat or republican. In all reality, our current president and those before him are like puppets, with the powers that be above him pulling all the strings. If we as a people don’t like the direction of our country, the only way to truly change it is a massive nation wide protest. And I’m not talking peaceful.

  6. More B.S. from the republicans based on nothing, lets see any of this based of facts, and real facts not made up ones that you pulled out of where the sun don’t shine.

    • You have it backwards, Bubba. Republicans research the facts before spouting them. Liberals only know how to insult people. They NEVER respond to the facts put before them! I notice you just criticize and offer no facts whatsoever yourself! (Check out George Mason’s comments below for some facts.) I could send you scores of documented facts but, as a Liberal, I know you will just ignore them or rationalize them away. You can put your head back in the sand now.

  7. I believe his gun control agenda will become apparent, and if elected for a second term, his extreme gun control measures will either be enacted through legislation or executive order, but they will be enacted. His will disarm America in violation of the 2nd Amendment.

  8. Notice that when the Libs respond, they always ignore the facts – and always fabricate ideas or
try to deny the criticism. This shows how bereft of ideas and how desperate they are .
And who can blame them? The are obsessed with the power and money they get to control.
They will die before they give up – it is the only place they can go.
Faithful patriots must be as tenacious as they are.
    God Bless America!

  9. It’s difficult to understand Americans who support and defend Obama. Especially after witnessing Obama’s offenses against the rule of law(including the adminstrations blantent pursuit of racebased justice) Obama has violated public trust as he uses Chicago style bullyboy tactics to protect and advance adminstration cronies. Also while Obama’s mania for secrecy(although he ran on promise of transparency) is well known..hi cronies as well as he hires private investigators to dig up dirt on his opponents all the while hiding his records from the public. A throughly corrupt and deceitful man sits in our WH. Those who still support him are either very ignorant or they are traitors to their country.

  10. This list is silly and laughable. It’s full of vague generalities with little basis in fact, and the reek of hysteria makes one wonder if the person who wrote it is “all there” in the head. It’s more like irrational paranoia run amuck.

It would be really to dispute each of the things on the list, but as I just said, why bother? The person who wrote this, and the people who believe it, would rather create and live in fantasies that appeal to their tiny and easily-frightened minds.

Come on, people, when political writers use words like “irrevocable damage” and “disaster”, they’re dealing in fear-mongering; they’re not interested in having a real discussion. Whether you’re Liberal or Conservative, you really have to be careful when listening to people like this.

For instance, this guy, and others like him, have a huge stake in making people believe that “ObamaCare” will “destroy” the nation. Really? All ObamaCare does is get everyone into the health insurance pool so that everyone can pay for their own medical care. Which in turn means that the people who resent having to pay for the emergency room visits of the uninsured won’t have to foot those bills any longer. What’s so disastrous about that? It sounds like a good deal to me.

You also have to remember that a big part of the “ObamaCare disaster” talk is being fueled by the health insurance and medical industries who fear that their profit margins will be reduced under a system that provides care for everyone. So what’s more important, that all Americans get health care, or big industries make more and more in profits? You have to decide, but please, really, people, stop subscribing to this silly and ridiculous fear-mongering. It’s beneath you.

    • So obamacare is not a bad idea huh? Then why do we have to pass it to see what’s in it?
I also have two other words for you:

      1) Social Security
      2) Medicare

But those are working out so well right?

    • I would love for people to be responsible for there own medical bills.but in Obama care, first of All the pay starts out about 8% then past 15% percent of your paycheck over the next few years.why is it ok to charge more for one persons healthcare just because he makes more money?what if you work overtime?or more than one job?and why should it be up to someone else to tell us what we can eat and how much?and not counting the fact that americans dont go for someone forcing this on us.communism isn’t our strong suit.as for Obama…why does this man incedentally hurt the hard working Americans by taking our god given freedoms like when I was in school when the bell rang we went in the hallway and said the pledge of allegiance while holding up a flag.we were a strong country back then and proud to be Americans.now it’s like he is ashamed to cover his heart and give his praise to our flag.our country was built on not just Christian values but good morals, and he is unworthy.a man that won’t put his hand on a holy bible and raise his hand and swear to honor and serve our country should not deserve to be our president.and this person has spent more time on the reelection campaign more so far than all the presidents since reagan put together is an outrage.mr. Obama,if you would spend that time doing your job talking to congress and plain old americans you may find the right road to follow to drive back to prosperity.I really don’t think Chris rock and George clooney is going to give you very much inside info on what normal people need to support our families.let’s run this up the chain and see what happens.

    • brando are blind or are you just ignorant and stupid we are in a record high debt it has increased. there is no jobs. prices on everything is skyrocketing……how that hell do you not see it in front of your face oh wait…….your either a highschool kid living with parents with no job and hasn’t tried looking for one to know how hard it is…..2. your have a high ass paying job and got so much money you don’t know what to do with it so you don’t give a shit about the rest of the counrty being poor and in living in poverty…or 3 your one of those people that just voted and continue to vote for obama cause you think everyone else is racist and we need a black president which is supposedly black his name doesn’t spell arab or muslim at all………..yeah right….i don’t give a shit what color the president is if denzel washington ran i would vote for him not because he is black but anybody os better than obama….the country is dying in depression…..but you’re too ignorant and living it up with your own status to see whats happening in the world….but i’ll tell you what i’m am willing to bet anything that another 4 years of obama’s ass we reach near 3rd world poverty cause we are half way there. its like tasting something gross if you didn’t like it or its bad for you why the hell would you keep eating it……and thats what you are doing cause as far as i’m concerned romney has actually faced the people’s question and gave them straight answers. all i here from obama’s mouth is empty good sounding B.S.!!!!

    • brando just because you throw in a few fancy words doesnt mean you became a quantum physics professor at harvard buddy. second of all your missing the point. IF SOMEONE CANT AFFORD TO PAY 150.00 for a UA you think they can afford to pay 150 every month if not more for insurance that does not entirely cover everything? Im a per diem nurse and sure i used to get PAID great when the per diem rate went up by the union. but guess what, i had to spend it all on medical bills and still pay a huge load of tax money that people who come in through the tides get welfare foodstamps and insurance all just because they decided to pop a couple of babies in this state?! go get your facts straight and open your eyes before you criticize someones opinion. and if you ever listen to public debates they always talk about how many things will go crashing down if obama gets re elected.

    • Brando…you, and others like you, had better WAKE UP before you help and inspire more to just close your eyes to what could happen to the USA if Owebama remains. Have you not heard that those who can’t afford health insurance will be penalized…in the thousands, if they don’t take insurance? It’s a DISASTER waiting to happen…not to mention there are already Drs. who are NOT accepting new Medicare patients…because of cuts and costs. That’s ALREADY a disaster. There has NEVER been a president like this one…who cut America down immediately by apologizing for it. He doesn’t speak for Americans and NEVER will. We haven’t HAD a President these past years as far as I’m concerned.

  11. easy…we will become Greece, and there will be a civil war. Liberals will NOT take our guns and stamp on the US Constitution without conflict.

  12. (Credit: CBS) (CBS News) The National Debt has now increased more during President Obama’s three years and two months in office than it did during 8 years of the George W. Bush presidency.

The Debt rose $4.899 trillion during the two terms of the Bush presidency. It has now gone up $4.939 trillion since President Obama took office.

    • You have a disease who ever you are. You need to go to the nearest E.R. and ask the doctor if they have medication for your disease. If they don’t– ask for a cranialectomy.

  14. It blows my mind ppl still want him to win!!!! He did NOTHING that has helped this country rebound. Still spending, still raising debt limits, and still going over the top w free programs. Democrats are the ones to blame.

  15. I too am amazed that this election is even close. For the first time in 64 years I am genuinely concerned about whether the country that has given me so much will survive. Never before have I seen so much demagoguery, blatant thuggery, and distortion of truth. I would submit that, should this current regime win the election, we will see a bloodbath in this country that will rival Syria’s. The ideologies represented are polar opposites and the implementation of the progressive agenda is too well entrenched to think that anything will be resolved peacefully in light of their tactics.

    • This is not your Daddy’s Democratic Party. The Democrats are so left, have become so perverted in their beliefs, that I am genuinely concerned that America can ever recover from the disaster of the last four years. Our Colleges have become breeding grounds for a distorted liberal agenda. Ronald Reagan conservatives like myself run the risk of being called, racists and homophobes, for having an opinion which differs from the left on issues such as immigration and gay marriage. There is no more 1st ammendment for those who oppose the majority! The Democrats have abandones the John Kennedy priciples which defined the party. America RIP 1776 – 2012!

  16. I’m always amused to see how many people who are opposed to O’s reelection are nostalgic for predecessors who also did their bit to erode representative gov’t. I’m as unhappy with the Republicans and Conservatives as I am w/ the Dems. And.. can not support Romney.
I hope that an O second term might wake up enough of us to make it possible to go back to our founding principles.
We’re a nation of delusional drunks who need to hit bottom.

    • so your telling every anti obaman that you hope obama wakes up and gets off his ass and gets a second chance with a second term are you out of your mindhe had one chance 4 whole years of chance he ruined it and needs to quit blaming bush he had plenty of time and made things worse…..bottom line rocco get realistic we can’t afford optimism from people like you you must be blind or something cause obviously you have no clue about the current disastrious economy people are experiencing.

      • No Anna, I guess I didn’t make myself clear.
I hope that a second Obama term ( which I think is inevitable…hope I’m wrong) wakes up his supporters and the folks on the sidelines. and wakes them up sufficiently so they are amenable to a realignment with constitutional principles.
I think unless we do that we are constantly in danger of a popular leader doing great damage to the country.

        • ok now you make sense cause it wasn’t clear and i hope we get romney and paul ryan in they apparently are interested and give a shit about our debt and budget and sorry to say obama had plenty of time and didn’t do anything yet he took lavish trips around the world often….we need a president thats going to address issues instead of making excuses and using nothing but technical babble. michelle and obama don’t give a shit about the flag she said it her self its too much for them to properly run a country “all this for a damn flag?” is what she said and obama agreed look it up on youtube and type in the quote you’ll see it.

  17. I think maybe you are all out of your minds with faux news and msdnc brainwashing. They are all in it for themselves, get elected and start working to get re-elected, lies upon lies, playing on whatever tickles you. Has anyone on here ever watch politicians pander to what ever state they are campaigning in, do you think there is maybe a reason why republicans always promise to solve all of our fiscal problems so we elect them and they spend spend spend. They held congress in 6 out of the eight years of bushes presidency, why are we all not living in utopia? Why does Medicare and social security even exist? In fact why did he add the largest medicare expansion (part D) since it was established? If you think a Rep or Dem is going to save or destroy anything you need to go back on your meds. Its all been a progression that started in 1776. What do you think Thomas Jefferson would say about the republican party in 2012? The best you can do is Mitt Romney? Really? He believes in magic underwear and women are second class citizens (Mormon..look it up). Land of the free? I think not. We are all guilty of intolerance.

    • Ron you blind ignoramous it doesn’t matter i don’t side with republican or democrat and just vote on that which clearly some people vote on with that base alone if a democrat has a good plan for the americans and is on good standing morals and values compared to the republican candidate i will vote for them and vice versa people need to start voting on what is best not blue or dem or rep many votes are wasted on ignorance and blind voting values and reasoning…..you vote for whats going to keep our country going and prosper obama has not done that if that was the case the debt would have fell and more jobs would have arose leaving only really poor people and social security recipients receiving welfare but people who had lives and stability have lost all they have worked for by being layed off and companies moving from them and downsizing in employees…..bottom line romney and ryan have done more work in their campaign researching and finding solutions to our nations depression….what has obama done besides raise debt allow nearly 1 million illegals in our country for more job taking from real americans and bullshit votes. oh and lets not forget taking a 716 billion cut out of medicare that people worked their asses off for and paid into so that when they retire they would have it and put that into obamacare……..if he gets reelected i hope you become jobless even homeless so that you can’t pay for obamacare and get sick and go to jail or prison cause you couldn’t pay for your hospital bill and while your in that cell you can think about how you betrayed your country by getting him reelected along with the rest of your ingorant cell mates and maybe next time you will not blindly vote for random horse shit and vote for what is best no matter what the party and learn your lesson you will get a taste of your own medicine and eat that shit worth of words you spout to people on this forum that want whats best for us when you could care less if our nation falls you selfish traitor!

      • Hi Anna, Thanks for seeing it my way, I knew there were people on here with common sense and my point was not wasted on everyone.

P.S. See I can live in a fantasy world

large debt? The Reps took control of everything when we had a surplus, gave us all a tax break, wars broke out and put us back in the red, during the whole thing Bush and Cheney are screaming from the rooftops “dont worry, deficits dont matter”. The party of fiscal responsibility was on the ball there weren’t they? Thanks for that by the way. Yes Bush and the Reps added almost 5t$ to the debt in 8yrs and Obama has done that in 4 but the policy’s and programs dont change just because the president does, there were necessary bailouts that were done by Bush and Obama and a large amount of revenue that no longer exists due to bad policy and greed by both parties, You cant possibly think any of the people that are elected by a minority of extremists (because most dont vote for their congressman) have your or my best interest at heart. Lets make a prediction, Romney gets elected, nothing significant happens except for maybe some more religiously fueled wars and the cutting of major programs that were put in place to solve serious problems with poverty and lack of care for our oldest of citizens and Romney spends the next 4-8 years blaming obama for all the wrongs that havnt been righted under his administration, if your not following my point then maybe this will help, Its all garbage to get your vote, even if Obama agreed with all the things Romney wanted to change there would only be other issues to argue about. There has to be a counterpoint. Where is Ronald Reagan’s republican party? Not here, Not today. Its not about real solutions that benefit everyone, its about how much can I distort what the other guy is saying and scare the crap out of the faithful. Ok and more illegals have been deported and more money spent to deport them under Obama in the last three years than any time in history..You should try google its free. 716b from medicare in overpayment to keep the program solvent for another 8yrs while we try and find a better solution or… a voucher program that WILL NOT WORK due to the cost of inflation and rising health care costs, not to mention it will be 10 yrs before you see any savings and 30+yrs before its completely out of the system, by that time I imagine medicare would be back anyway. I agree with privatizations of many things the govt has its hands in but ss, medicare and making everyone responsible for there own heath care are not three of them. These are all things that we will all be subject too as we get older, the fact is we just will not work until we die, not because most are not willing but because companys do not want you too, at some point you will be a liability. I guess a thank you for all the years of hard work but now you need to go somewhere and die is something you want for your children or grandchildren. So you say its there fault, they should have worked harder, saved more, but who do you think was serving you at your favorite restaurant all these years, or putting together the made in America products youve been patriotically buying, the world needs these people just like it needs you, and for us to turn our back on them at the end of their tax paying lives is unfair and adds to the growing bad taste we all have for the ever reaching right of the party. Oh and if you think the Govt is going to starve itself of the lost revenue when we cut the helpful things we all pay for think again. When you are watching Fox and that little voice in your head tells you that something just cant be true…google it. Unless that little voice is beaten, bloodied and slowly dying in the deepest recesses of your mind. If thats the case then I am truly sorry for you and anyone you infect with your factually unsupported nonsense.

        Good luck with your fantasy.

        • ron i’m voting romney cause the bottom line is obama had 4 years to at least show improvment and hasn’t shit to at least prove he’s worth a second election so let the next guy have the opportunity at least he actually shows he cares obama does not i want aproud american in the white house not someone how could give 2 shits and a f**k less

          • Well its nice to see you have some class. I wasnt swearing at you, just pointing out the facts. Please do not use the “proud American” line to describe a man that is clearly just singing the same old song of the party. Romney as a human being believes in some good, socially just and humane ideas, after all he did create the national healthcare bill by introducing and implementing it In Mass when he was governor. Why does he run from it? Romney as a presidential candidate is just a talking head for the far right wing. He’s like the popular kid who is only popular because he buys his friends whatever they want, He want to be liked soooo bad that it makes you not like him. You can choose to believe that Romney will do better but history and facts tells us a completely different story. 10 yrs of that with bush was enough. I like freedom, I feel more gets taken from me a little every year but I also like schools, I like roads, I like to know when I cross a bridge it wont buckle, I like snow removal, cops, firefighters, teachers, the post office, I like to think my tax dollars are going to help a man or woman that need a hand up not a hand out to get back on their feet. Food stamps have rose from 17b to 80b in the last 10..thats right 10 years, long before Obama things were on the decline, partly because of unfair trade and tax policy. Whats Mitts plan? Well lets give the rich basterds that keep moving jobs to China more money, lets keep giving them a pat on the back for undermining the American worker and the American dream. Good Job Fella’s! Heres another tax break…..but only if you promise to create American jobs this time…right. As we speak they sit on Trillions of American dollars and could pull us all out of the recession next week, but they dont, how much money is enough before its ok to give back? Proud American? The proud american is the person that goes to work everyday, pays their taxes and helps his fellow man. NOT Mitt Romney! I also like protection from the people with the loudest voice, who has the loudest voice you ask, me? you? all of us together cannot stop the money in the country from twisting the laws, regulation and tax policy to benefit their bottom line. I dont like Obama and dont want to vote for him…but I will. You should ask yourself why all the big money in the country if funding the Romney campaign, why the more regulation or tax policy changes thats not in their favor the louder the noise gets. I think the average republican is a good and helpful person, they work hard and do a lot of charity work. my wife and her entire family are, they are all great people. I watch Fox news regularly, But I also watch msnbc, history, science, and and local news as well as NPR. You should try changing the channel or at the very least use the internet to check the facts.

All of those opinion based programs need to be held responsible for the division in the country, NOT the president or 90% of the politicians. The more we fight and argue the better ratings they get. One last question. If the sudo news stations that are based on opinion are so riotous and only want to keep you as informed, honest, fair, balanced and up to date as possible they why do they play the opponents adds? To prove how fair they are? I think not.

          • let me get this straight you don’t like obama but you’ll vote for him like i said obama had four years to show improvment for the country and hasn’t done it he was supposed to help lower the deficit and didn’t went on all these lavish ass trips to europe and all these other places and vacations when his ass should have been at work and doing what he was getting paid to do i’ve never heard of a president go on so many trips like this and if they did it was to address that issues and make appearances i want a president that works hard not sit on his ass and sign shit without reading and making laws and budgets up without thinking or the repercussions he’s not reliable any obama promise is taken with a grain of salt in my book he promised a lot of things and none of them came through now i understand he is one man but if he could have at least lowered the deficit and unemployment some key problems then i would give him a second term cause then i would be like he has done this and this and he needs another term to finish his great work but thats not the case…..my husband and i have wasted so much gas money on him looking for a job that we have given up we are tired of interviews that don’t lead to hire and wasting gas fillng out applications and looking farther out for work since there are no jobs here so he stopped looking and we save more money in our pockets for important errands and bills. i got qualified and receive social security and its holding our heads above the water for now. i’m tired of holding my breath for obama…his change promises….yeah there is change all right bad to worse…..you can blame bush bush bush but if you have 4 years of presidency you should have made some kind of improvement by now if you made it worse that just shows you didn’t do anything and let what bush did ride out and get worse which he did as far as the economy goes everyone i know is losing there jobs and getting laid off i want a promise and a follow through not a hope to change.
